Yael Stein, who is Australian and lives in New York City since 2013 was the character Lorna Morrello's character in Orange Is the New Black. Yael Stone was a graduate of NIDA. Yael enjoyed the privilege to be able to collaborate with Australia's leading storytellers. She has worked behind-the-scenes on film, television as well as theatre. Yael has had a long and successful career with a thriving career in Australia. A continuing collaboration with Australia's much-lauded director Neil Armfield culminated in the internationally-renowned production Diary of a Madman, in which she starred opposite Academy- Emmy- and Tony Award-winning actor Geoffrey Rush. Yael discovered her new place of residence in New York City when the production was acclaimed at The Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM). Yael is co-founder of The Cannery. Based at Bushwick, Brooklyn, the business supports the development of new writing as well as imaginative, inventive ventures.
